What is the vitreous humor?
Clear jelly-like material that bends light onto the retina.
What is the lens?
Focusses the light onto the retina
What is the cornea?
Area where the light enters the eye.
What is the pupil?
Center of the eye
What is the iris?
Colored part of the eye. Regulates that amount of light that enters the eye.
What is the sclera?
The whites of the eye. Delivers blood to the eye.
What is the optic nerve?
Carries stimuli from the eye to the brain.
What is the retina?
Consists of rods and cones.
What is an interneuron?
Brings impulses to the brain
What is a motor neuron?
Assists with movement based upon the interpretation from the brain
What is proprioception?
Neuromuscular control that allows an individual to determine where their body is positioned in space.
Rods vs Cones
Both are used to see color. There are more rods. Rods - black, white, and shades of gray. Cones - red, green, and blue.
What can optical illusions lead to?
Seeing something not there, seeing something different, failing to see something there.
Anterior vs Posterior
Anterior is the head. posterior is the back.
Dorsal vs Ventral
Dorsal is the back. Ventral is the stomach.
