Q

Explain the movements of abduction, adduction and rotation

A

Abduction = movement of bones away from the body so being taken away

Adduction = movement of bones towards the body’s midline so adding on

Rotation = a circular movement around a joint or axis so to rotate

Q

Explain plantar flexion and dorsiflexion

A

Plantar flexion = movement at ankle joint which increases the angle at joint so pointing toes

Dorsiflexion = movement at ankle joint which flexes foot upwards decreasing the angle so like holding a door open
