What is fitness testing for and what are the reasons for carrying them out
To level a personal level of fitness They: Identify strengths or weaknesses For motivation They establish a starting level of fitness They provide variety
Give 4 limitations for fitness testing
The tests are general and not sport specific
Tess do not replicate the movements used in sports
Tests are usually carried out in isolation
Many are quite inaccurate and non direct measurements
What could be some limitations of fitness testing though the person being tested
Amount of effort they put into test could not be accurate to their true level of fitness
The incorrect procedure could be carried out
What test measures power and explosive strength and explain what happens in it
Vertical jump test
Jump as high as you can and measure

You catch ruler as soon as it drops
