What does joint ill look like?
Pain, heat, and swelling of several joint
Pus in joints
Thickened synovial membranes
Erosion of the articular surfaces
How do you treat Joint ill?
NSAIDs and systemic antibiotics

Hunched stance
Moist, swollen navel with purulent material
Pain on palpation
How do you treat Navel ill?
Systemic antibiotics
Anti-inflammatories
How do you prevent Navel ill?
Dipping of navels in strong iodine
Good hygiene

What is the cause of hepatic necrobaillosis?
Fusobacterium necrophorum
What does hepatic necrobacillosis look like?
White spots and abscesses on the liver
Can spread to lungs and joints
What does meningitis look like?
Congestion of sclera

Lack of suckle reflec
How do you prevent white muscle disease?
VitE and Selenium
How do you treat white muscle disease?
SubQ injections of Selenium and VitE
Take care to avoid selenium toxicity
What does nephrosis look like?
Lambs are depressed, won’t suck but appear thirsty and may stand over water sources
How do you diagnose nephrosis?
Blood urea and creatinine are high
PM: kidneys are pale and swollen
How do you treat nephrosis?
Euthanize
