What is a logistical growth model?
A population growth that is slowed by limiting factors (S shaped curve)
What is an exponential growth model?
It shows an increase under ideal conditions (J shaped) and no limiting factors are present
What factors can limit population growth?
Density-Dependent and Density-Independent
What is Succession (2018-2023)?
It is when a distrubed area is slowly repopulated. A show with Wallace from Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
What is primary succession?
It begins in a virtually lifeless area with no soil.
What are pioneer species?
The first to colonize, they are usually lichen and moss.
What is secondary successsion?
The soil is left intact.
What do primary and secondary succession have in common?
They are gradual and they both have a climax community.
