late gestation/ early postpartum

Clinical Signs-
A
panting, increased salivation, pryexia, restlessness

What type of diet is not reccommended during gestation?
A
BARF diet- raw food diet, limited calcium

What does an increased need for calcium cause?
A
catabolism of bone, osteoporosis

A
slow IVFT
monitoring HR and pulse quality

What stage of the oestrus cycle does eclampsia occur?
A
met-oestrus/ lactation

What advice can you give to owners?
A
appropriate nutrition, growth from last trimester- avoid calcium supplementation
