- CV diseases that are prone to clogged vessels
- Keeps grafts open
- Prevents cerebrovascular occlusion (strokes and TIAs)
- Adjunct to thrombolytic therapy after MI and to prevent another MI
- Aspirin: anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects

- CNS: headache, dizziness, weakness
