3) widely imitated – reinforces the pioneering concept

5) transcend function – it may be technologically worse than other stuff on the market but its still desirable (possibly as a status symbol/collectible)
6) resale value
7) collectable – some become collectable, may have resale value (like cars). possibly for nostalgic reasons
