Avoid supine position due to hypotension
- Side lying and semi-fowler with lateral tilt are the best positions

• Keep mouth open and use open glottis pushing to improve fetal oxygenation

• Continue IV but discontinue oxytocin to stop contractions
• Position patient in left lateral and elevate legs to increase perfusion
• Administer O2 to increase fetus oxygenation
• Assess patient response and report to PCP
