treatment Vagal maneuvers, intravenous adenosine, or, if necessary,
synchronized cardioversion. Long-term management involves
prevention of recurrence with β-blockade or, in the absence of
Wolff-Parkinson-White, digoxin. Radiofrequency ablation of
accessory pathway is attempted if medical therapy fails and the
child is old enough for the procedure.
