What pain descriptors would lead you to believe the source of pain is neuropathic?
Sharp, shooting, burning, tingling, electric
Identify common central vs peripheral neurologic pathologies
Central: Parkinsons, MS, Huntington’s, SCI, TBI, CVA
Peripheral: GBS, peripheral neuropathy, carpal tunnel, tarsal tunnel, herpes zoster
Describe where nerve roots exit relative to their associated vertebrae
C7 and higher - above vertebrae
C8 - below C7 vertebrae
T1 and lower - below vertebrae
Describe the dermatomes of the UE
