Week 2 (Mitosis) Flashcards

1
Q

What happens in Prophase (MITOSIS)?

A

Chromosomes replicated.
Chromosomes contract, smaller/fatter
Centrioles are at end of each cell
Spindle fibers start to form
nuclear membrane breaks down.

Q

What happens in Metaphase (MITOSIS)?

Q

What happens in Telophase (MITOSIS)?

A

Chromatids will be new chromosomes for daughter cells.
Spindle fibers break down
Nuclear membrane reforms itself
Cell constricts (divides into 2)- cytokinesis
