what’s the hand grasp reflex?
intuitive;

what’s the moro reflex?
lift and drop (but catch!) the baby. Baby will abduct arms, flex fingers, then adduct arms;
disappears after 6 months
what’s the ATNR? (asymmetric tonic neck reflex)?
look like a fighter. If you turn the head one way, it’ll extend the arm on that side and clench th earm on the other.

what’s the protective equilibrium reflex?
lateral propping;
appears 4-6 months and goes on forever
what’s the parachute reaction?
if you tilt a baby forwards on their belly abruptly, they’ll splay their hands forwards;
appears 8-9 months and goes on forever
what are red flags of primitive reflexes?
asymmetric;
obligate;
persistent;
absent;
no lateral prop by 7-8 months;
no parachute by 10 months
