US POLITICS, NIXON Flashcards

Why Nixon fired the FBI director (Archibald Cox)?
In dramatically casting aside James B. Comey, President Trump fired the man who may have helped make him president - and the man who potentially most threatened the future of his presidency. Not since Watergate has a president dismissed the person leading an investigation bearing on him, and Mr. Trump’ss decision late Tuesday afternoon drew instant comparisons to the Saturday Night Massacre in October 1973, when President Richard M. Nixon ordered the firing of Archibald Cox, the special prosecutor looking into the so-called third-rate burglary that would eventually bring Nixon down.
Where do you think president slip in and out of deals?
About Iran Nuclear deal, nothing slippery. Is understand it has made a strategic mistake as circumstances have changed; George W Bush took the USA out of 1972 Anti ballistics missile treaty so USA can have a national Defence strategy; England is not slippery because of Brexit.
North Korea
Us has worked for 25 (3 diff presidents) years with no success. Are we going to leave this country with the most destructive weapon of our times; they could sell the weapons to terrorists. He’s unpredictable & could go rogue…Sustained to seek diplomatic efforts with china, should be implemented. Otherwise military force…Who can say with a straight face let’s try the 26th year.Eliminate the regime or eliminate the weapon
Iran
Breakout capacity-Decertify the dealPeople think, he may decertify the Iran nuclear deal under the code of cardinal legislation, but Tay in the deal (Obama) Is will not abiide by it any longer.
