What are the three pumps involved in the fire fighting?
Jockey pumpekectric pumpdiesel pump
When does the jockey pump kicks in?
If there’s an incident and the sprinkler breaks off, water will be sprinkled from the sprinkler which will reduce the pressure in the pipes. Jockey pump is a small pump connected to the main fire hydrant system.which is responsible for maintaining a minimum pressure in a fire protection system to an artificially high level of.
What does Jockey pump ensure?
Jockey pump ensures that the pressure is maintained if there’s any pressure loss die to minor leakage in the pipeline or due to evaporation so that fire hydrants keeps on working continuously.
What is the master pump & its duty?
Master Pump is the high pressure water pump designed to increase fire fighting capacity when main is not enough. It boosts the pressure in the hydrants and is powered by the fire panel.
When does the operation taken over by the Fire Panel?
On operations of one or more hydrant points the pressure is reduced, this falling pressure actuate the pressure switch set at 4kg per Cm square. The pressure switch sends the control signal to the motor switch gear installed in the fire panel which brings motor driven pump into operation this replenishing the loss of pressure.
What is the water storage capacity?
45k.
What is the speed of water throwing capacity
The hydrant pump throws water at an immense pressure of 6kg water per sq centimetre. 1800 ltr of water per minute.
posts are installed with unlined flex canvas horse pipes?
Allies equipment hi housed in a metal chamber located in the hotel.
What is the procedure during a fire?
User attach a horse pipe to a fire hydrant and then open a valve on the hydrant. The powerful jet stream of water may reach 30ft or more. If in case we exhaust the capacity of our water tanks then we connect external water sources to the fire service inlet. This is a 4way hydrant force. this inlet connection . it’s a non deterrent valve which has locking system to inlet water.
What does your Fire fighting system include?
Fire alarm system consists with smoke detectors, beam detectors, strob computer and manual call point. When smoke comes in contact with smoke or beam detector it gets activated with continuous indications which then alarms us via strobe computer at high frequency. Strobe computers are installed everywhere Lao manual call points.Once in 15 days we have demo running of the Fire hydrant System once in 3 months trading to surprises the fires.
What is the pressure in the Pipes?
The minimum operatingpressurefor eachsprinklerhas been noted as 7 psi (0.5bar).7=0.514=1 bar17 Bar
What are thepipelines involved inthe Fire fightingsystem?.
Pressure relief line(Pipeline)Test line with. 2 Butterflyvalve and the flow meter
What does thedischarge header do?
Discharge header is goingto the Sprinklers
What are the two main sides of the firepumps?
Suction side (With suction line header)Discharge side. (With Discharge line header)Suction header provideswater to the fire systemfrom tanks Discharge header supplywater to the sprinklers andother fire fightingequipments.( Discharge line Header)
