Nasal saline irrigation -
o Rest
o Smoking cessation discussion (stop or avoid secondhand risks)
o Increase fluids – hydrate viscous mucus discharge
o Menthol inhalations Vicks
Menthol and Camphor (avoid under age 2 and with chronic respiratory conditions)
o Environmental humidification
clinical diagnosis of chronic rhinosinusitis
sinonasal inflammation
anterior rhinoscopy, nasal endoscopy or CT
recurrent acute rhinosinusitis (RAR)
diagnosis
four or more episodes per year
CT to exlckude aggressive infections or neoplastic disease
