Prescription must include a patients’ unique, government-approved identifier number
Health card, driver’s license, Indigenous status card, Passport, etc
Refill intervals must be very specific, as in days or weeks (not months)
Note: refills are not permitted for narcotics
Refills are permitted for benzodiazepines and certain drugs (e.g. testosterone, barbiturates) but must be specific with respect to dates
