Anastomosis
anastomosis milli suprascapular artery og circum scapular artery
Brachial A
byrjar: inf margin pectoralis major/latissimus dorsi m
endar: cubital fossa
-it runs in medial bicipital groove
with brachial veins og nerves of brachial plx
*place for BP measurement og catherization side
Brachial A branches
1) deep brachial A (mm of post. arm. Humerus + elbow joint)
-in groove for radial nerve, m deep brachial vv og Radial N
2) muscular rr (mm of ant arm + humerus)
3) sup + inf ulnar collateral aa (elbow joint network)
-in medial epicondyle, (superior collateral A,m ulnar nerve)
*Deep brachial A/Profundus brachii A br–>
a) mm of posterior arm + humerus
b) radial + middle collateral aa (elbow joint network)
-radial collateral í lateral epicondyle m radial nerve
radial og ulnar arteries
terminal branches of brachial A
-in cubital fossa
Radial A
byrjar: cubital fossa
-runs along lateral aspect and related to brachioradialis m
-in distal forearm, lateral to flexor carpi radialis
-leaves forearm, passes under
Abd.pollicis longus og ext. pollicis brevis (anatomical snuff box)
–> extensor pollicis longus, penetrating milli metacarpals 1+2
–> reaches palm of hand
-At palm–> Deep palmar arch
-runs w spf. ramus of Radial nerve
Ulnar A
byrjar: cubital fossa
-In forearm runs milli flexor digitorum spf+profundus
-In distal forearm runs milli flx carpi ulnaris + flx digit. profundus
-leaves forearm, enters palm of hand, SPF to flexor retinaculum!
-At palm–> Superficial palmar arch
-runs w ulnar nerve
radial og ulnar artery
(radial A) (ulnar A)
1) radial recurrent aa + ant+post ulnar recurrent aa
*for elbow joint
(ulnar recurrent aa–> common interosseous A —>
anterior, posterior og recurrent interosseous aa)
2) muscular branches (From Radial+Ulnar aa)
*for mm + bones of antebrachium
(Radial A) (Ulnar A) 3) palmar + dorsal carpal network (dorsal carpal network---> dorsal metacarpal aa --> dorsal digital aa) *for mm + bones of hand (Radial A) (Ulnar A) 4) SPF palmar br og SPF palmar arch (spf palmar arch--> common palmar digital aa --> proper palmar digital aa) (Radial A) (Ulnar A) 5) Deep palmar arch og Deep palmar br (deep palmar arch--> metacarpal palmar aa)
Radial A –>
-princeps pollicis A og radialis indicis A
radial og ulnar artery
(radial A) (ulnar A)

Radial A –>
-princeps pollicis A og radialis indicis A
spf og deep palmar arch
separated by:
a) tendons of flx digitorum superficialis
b) tendons of flx digitorum profundus
c) lumbricals mm
Veins of upper limbs
með valves to prevent reflux
-spf veins drain into deep veins via perforating veins
*deep veins:
-acc. Arteries.
-named acc. to corresp. aa (t.d radial A og radial veins
eða brachial A og brachial veins, axillary A og axillary veins)
-Are usually paired, to the level of axillary A
*Spf. veins:
-drain skin og subq tissue
-no acc. arteries
-empty into deep veins
- basilic, cephalic og median cubital vein
