abdomen vessels Flashcards
abd aorta
Parietal branches:
-inf phrenic
-lumbar
-median sacral
Visceral branches
-middle suprarenal
-renal
-gonadal
visceral unpaired:
-celiac (coeliac) trunk
-sup mesentery -inf mesentery
Terminal branches:
-Common iliac AA
Parietal br of aorta
supply:
-diaphragm (inferior phrenic aa)
-body wall (lumbar aa + median sacral a)
-supraren gland (superior suprarenal a, br of inferior phrenic a)
visceral paired branches aorta
supply:
-kidney (renal a)
-ureter (renal a og gonadal a)
-supraren gland (middle supraren a og inferior supraren a, br of renal a)
-testis, epididymis (testicular a)
-ovary, uterine tube (ovarian a)
supra and inframesocolic peritoneal cavity
- supramesocolic p:
-organs there supplied by coelac trunk - inframesocolic p:
-organs there supplied by sup+inf mesenteric aa
*duodenum og pancreas supplied by coeliac trunk + sup/inf mesenteric
coeliac trunk + its branches
supply:
-liver (proper hepatic a)
-stomach (right/left gastric aa, right/left gastro-omental aa and short gastric aa)
-abd.p esophagus (esophageal rr)
-duodenum (sup. pancreaticoduodenal aa)
-pancreas (sup. pancreaticoduodenal aa og pancreatic aa)
-spleen (splenic a)
br of coeliac trunk
COMMON HEPATIC A —>
-proper hepatic a –>
-right gastric a (on lesser curvature stomach)
COMMON HEPATIC A—>
-gastroduodenal a —>
-right gastroomental a
og ant/post superior pancreaticoduodenal aa
SPLENIC A—>
-short gastric aa
-left gastro-omental aa
-pancreatic aa (dorsal, great og inferior)
LEFT GASTRIC A—>
-esophageal branches
branches of superior mesenteric a
-ant + post inferior pancreaticoduodenal aa
-jejunal a
-ileal a
-ileocolic a (gives off appendicular a)
-right colic a
-middle colic a
*sup. mesenteric a runs in front of horizontal p. duodenum
sup. mesenteric a og its branches
supply:
-duodenum (inf. pancreaticoduodenal a)
-pancreas (inf. pancreaticoduodenal a)
-jejunum (jejunal a)
-ileum (ileal a + ileocolic a)
-caecum og appendix (ileocolic, appendicular, right colilc)
-ascending colon (ileocolic og right colic a)
-transverse colon (right colic a, middle colic a)
br of inferior mesenteric a
left colic a
sigmoid aa
superior rectal a
*inf mesenteric a, is smallest of all 3 br of abd aorta
-fyrst it asc in front of aorta, svo til left of gives off:
-asc/desc br for descending colon
-br for sigmoid colon
-br for upper p of rectum
venous drainage abdomen
1) portal venous system:
system of veins of hepatic portal vein + its tributaries
2) systemic venous system:
of IVC + its tributaries
portal venous system
drains abd. part GIT system (nema middle og inf part rectum)
spleen, pancreas, gallbladder
-blood passes thru hepatic sinusoids, after that it collects in a number of short hepatic veins, sem drain into IVC
hepatic portal vein
begins hja L2
-junction of sup. mesenteric a + splenic a
(behind head of pancreas)
-as it reaches porta hepatis it divides into right and left br
tributaries of portal vein
- splenic vein (drains spleen, pancreas, stomach. Og receives inf. mesenteric vein)
Inf mesenteric vein drains upper p of rectum, sigmoid colon, desc colon og left colic flxure) - sup mesenteric vein (drains SI, caecum, asc colon og transverse colon)
- right og left gastric vein (drains lesser curvature og left gastric v fær blood hja abd p. esophagus)
- cystic veins (gallbladder)
- paraumblical veins (conn. veins on ant abd wall w portal vein) w.in round lig of liver
porto-caval anastomosis
eða portosystemic anastomosis
(collateral channels)
-milli veins of portal circul og veins of systemic circul, which are represented by tributaries of SVC or IVC
-Alternate route for blood, to drain GIT around liver
*blockage of hepatic portal vein or some vascular channels in liver (=portal hypertension) reduces venous drainage thru liver og can affect pattern of venous return from portal system to caval system (the tributaries of ivc or svc)
..so vessels that interconn. portal + caval system g orðið greatly enlarged og tortuous (=varices)
porto-caval anostomosis
the largest collateral channels there are anastomosis milli:
1) left gastric vein og esophageal veins (azygos, hemiazygos)
2) sup rectal vein og inf/middle rectal veins
3) paraumblical veins og veins on ant abd wall (thoracoepigastric veins and spf epigastric veins)
