What is the difference between obstructive and communicating hydrocephalus?
Obstructive: obstruction to flow through ventricular system
Communicating: failure of absorption by arachnoid villi
What is the treatment for hydrocephalus?
Gold standard:
Ventriculo-peritoneal shunt (V-P )
Or ventriculo-arterial shunt (V-A)
Neuroendoscopic 3rd ventriculostomy
