Candidates want to join you organization and employees want to stay
What is task behavior?
Employees do the tasks that are assigned to them
What is organization citizenship behavior?
Employees are motivated to support the success of the organization
What do intrinsic rewards relate to?
They relate to job content: Task identity - doing the whole job Task significance - social value Skill variety - using many skills Job autonomy - freedom to act Job feedback - self monitoring
These are also known as job enrichment
What do extrinsic rewards relate to?
They relate to job content:
Direct pay - base pay, performance pay, etc.
Indirect pay - benefits, working conditions, etc.
