what is the serosa?
layer of connective tissue that either suspends the digestive tract or attaches organs to each other
what is the nervous system of the digestive tract called?
the enteric nervous system
where do most of the neurons of the ENS live?
in ganglia between the layers of the muscularis externa
what is found in the walls of the bronchi?
hyaline cartilage
what is found in the walls of the bronchioles?
no cartilage
smooth muscle
what lines the alveoli?
simple squamous alveoli
what is found at each corner of a liver lobule?
a branch of the hepatic portal vein and the hepatic artery
what is found at the centre of each liver lobule and what does this do?
a central vein which drains to the hepatic vein
