Why is the lymphatic system important
Helps fight infections
What is lymph 
A clear liquid, rich in white blood cells
What are the functions of the lymphatic system
Return bad fluid from tissues the circulatory system, filters lymph to remove waste and toxic materials, produces and transports antibodies and lymphocytes, transport suggested fat from the intestines other sites in the body for storage
What are the lymph organs
Thymus and spleen
What are lymph nodes
They get rid of toxins, waste and pathogens. They are found along the lymph vessels
What are lymph vessels
They act like veins and capillaries to transport the lymph
What is a spleen
Secrete antibodies, they also control the levels of erythrocytes in the blood
What is the thymus
Helps target infection. It’s located in the front of the heart where T cells mature
