A

What is mechanical digestion ?

A

Large piece of food are ingested and physically broken down to smaller pieces.

What is chemical digestion

A

Larger molecules of food are broken down into smaller molecules by enzymes, acid and bile. E.G amylase is an enzyme found in saliva and the stomach which is responsible for breaking down starts into short chain carbohydrates.
