Explain life cycle

A

Gravid taeniid proglottids shed from carnivore FH

Release eggs in environment - contain oncospheres

Oncospheres ingested by IH

 - Enter wall of small intestine 
 - Migrate to liver peritoneum
 - Develops to cysticercus - infective 2nd stage

FH ingests cysticercus by eating infected organ

Digested, scolex released, attaches to small intestine

Develops to adult

PPP: 56 days
