A

We do this at VPK
Bell codes used etc.
-CW enters trailing cab at platform
- train driven to terminating point (CW instructs driver to stop once clear of points
- Reverse train
- CW instructs when to stop (at stopping mark on platform etc.)
- Driver can now ‘change ends’ or cut out and secure cab to be relieved at other end.

A

Can be done when CW is a qualified driver

- Train driven to terminating point
(2nd driver can alert 1st driver to stop when clear of points if terminating point is unclear)
- 1st driver cuts out and then 2 bell codes to 2nd driver to proceed
- 2nd driver cuts in and drives back normally once points are ready for return.
