-Driver REVERSES slowly
-Train is stopped once clear of points
- Driver can now drive forward to platform etc.
Drive out - Push back? And where is this normally done?
We do this at VPK
Bell codes used etc.
-CW enters trailing cab at platform
- train driven to terminating point (CW instructs driver to stop once clear of points
- Reverse train
- CW instructs when to stop (at stopping mark on platform etc.)
- Driver can now ‘change ends’ or cut out and secure cab to be relieved at other end.
Drive Both ways when terminating a 6 car train?
Can be done when CW is a qualified driver
- 2nd driver boards trailing cab at platform
- Train driven to terminating point
(2nd driver can alert 1st driver to stop when clear of points if terminating point is unclear)
- 1st driver cuts out and then 2 bell codes to 2nd driver to proceed
- 2nd driver cuts in and drives back normally once points are ready for return.
Terminating @ CHL UP or DOWN
CHANGE ENDS from ANY PLATFORM to go anywhere using applicable proceed aspect to depart
(Except UP Hurstbridge - need to move train to bi- directional track before heading to Plat 2. See image pink highlighted area)
Note: there are setback Dwarfs and Home Signal CHL117 that can be used to change plat’s
(There are no walking paths)
