Rest of B6 pt.2 Flashcards
What are the advantages of artificial selection/selective
breeding?
Can increase the yield and quality of the harvest
New plant and animal varieties can be made
Can replicate genetic modification
What are the disadvantages of artificial selection/selective
breeding?
It can lead to a lack of variety in plant or animal species
There is no guarantee that the characteristics will be passed to the offspring
There may be evolutionary changes that harm the planet

What is the ‘anthropogenic effect’ on
biodiversity?
