Properties- High strength, low density, durable
What is a composite
A composite material consists of two of more materials with different properties. They are combined to produce a material with improved properties. Most composites have a reinforcement and a matrix (something that binds the reinforcements together). For example, Reinforced concrete using steel and concrete to improve the compressive and tensile strength.
What is a polymer
A polymer is a long chain molecule made up of repeating units. A polymer can be made synthetically by combining many small molecules called monomers
What is an Alloy
An alloy is a mixture of two or more elements where at least one element is a metal. Many alloys are mixtures of 2 or more metals.
