-sacrum
-cocyyx
Innominate bones
-ilium
-pubis
-ischium
Sacrum
Five fused vertebrae
Posterior wall of pelvic cavity
Coccyx
Four fused vertebrae
Small triangular bone
Pelvic variation
-gynaecoid (slim Apple)

-platypelloid (extended oval)
Symphysis pubis
Midline joint made from cartilage
Uniting left and right pubic joints
Sacroiliac joints

Ligaments
Bands of tissue connecting the bones of the pelvis to each other
Sacroiliac ligaments
Joins the sacrum and iliac together
Sacrotuberous ligaments
Joins the sacrum and the ischium
Sacrococcygeal ligaments
Uniting the sacrum and coccyx
Interpubic ligaments
Between the pubic bones
True pelvis
Bony canal which fetus must pass during birth
Divided into brim, outlet and cavity
