represses ovulation by administering a low dosage of Progesterone during whole female cycle.
Progestin is the synthetic version of progesterone used in the oral contraceptive pill, it causes a decrease in the release of leutenizing hormone.
The mini pill reduces endometrial proliferation, menstrual flow and secretins, debilitates sperm transport by producing thickened mucus and it decreases the possibility of ovulation and implantation.
