What are the generic forebrain signs seen (4 of them)?
A
- Seizures
- Changes in behaviour and/or level of consciousness
- Contralateral blindness
- Contralateral abnormalities of movement + posture (postural reactions and spinal reflexes)

What are the cerebellar signs seen (5 of them)?
A
- Normal mental status
- Intention tremors (head and eyes)
- Hypermetria + preserved strength
- Ataxia + wide based stance
- Loss of menace + preserved vision

What are the brainstem signs that are seen?
A
- Cranial nerve deficits (various)
- Proprioceptive deficits – ipsilateral or all of limbs
- Hemi or tetra-paresis
- Central vestibular signs
- Stupor or coma
- Abnormalities respiratory + cardiovascular function

What are the signs of central vestibular disease?
A
Horizontal, rotary or vertical with fast phase in any direction

What are the signs of peripheral vestibular disease?
A
Horizontal or rotary with fast phase away from the side of the lesion
