What are the 4 different types of coaches on a 360
DMC1
DMC2
TSO
PTSL
What does DMC1, DMC2 stand for and where can they be found.
Driver, Motor, Composite 1or 2
These are the coach with the drivers cab, and can be found at either end of the unit.
What does TSO stand for
Trailer, Standard, Open
This coach has seats only.
What does PTSL stand for
Pantograph, Trailer, Standard, Lavatory
This coach has the toilet, disabled seating area and the pantograph attached
On the OLE what are the 6 main wires involved
Catenary = top wire going the track direction
Dropper = connecting the catenary and the contact wire
Contact wire = what the pantograph touches
Headspan wire = top wire, horizontally across the track between ole structure
Cross span wire = just underneath the headspan
Along track conductor = runs direction of track on either side between structures
How many CCTV cameras are in each coach on a 360
2 in each coach and 3 in the PTSL
Where are the emergency alarms situated in a 360
There are PAU at each door vestibule / one in each wheelchair space and emergency egress handles at each door
There are also two call for aid buttons in the toilet.
How can you stop a 360 from the rear cab
1 long press of buzzer
Push the power and brake controller all the way forward to the emergency position
Hit the emergency plunger
Where can the emergency cupboard be found on a 360
In the DMC2
What is in the emergency cupboard on a 360
Wooden ladder
First aid kit
There should also be a
Crowbar, rope, axe, saw, hammer
How do you enter a 360 for the first time
T key on the outside on the cab next to door, turn to the right. Hold for up to 20 seconds if from cold
On a 360 how many fire extinguishers are there in each cab
2 both foam
On a 360 what happens when the emergency plunger is pushed in the cab
The emergency brakes go on and the rear access doors will open for 10 seconds allowing for rapid evacuation
How do you lock an external door out of use on a 360
If the door is closed use your T Key to lock both doors out of use.
If the door is open, use the red valve behind the panel above the door to release the air, enabling the door to be closed. Then lock out of use using T Key. When one door is locked the out of use sign will flash, when both are lock the sign will show steady both inside and out
Where is the wheel chair ramp in a 360
The wheel chair ramp is in a cupboard nearest the gangway doors behind the toilet in the PTSL
