How do you remind the signaller you are waiting at a signal

A

After 2 mins press the SG button on the GSMR

A

If you get a “wait” message from the signaller, wait for an additional 5 mins and press SG again if no change.

Then SG every 5 mins in response to a “wait” message

A

Use a Lineside telephone if available or a mobile phone, guards or passengers.
Remember the PED policy, make sure the train is secure and key is out. Make any call outside the cab

If detained at an IBS signal and you have no GSMR you must

A

Use the SPT if safe to do so

If SPT has failed, try another SPT or Lineside phone

If unsuccessful you may pass the signal at danger following instructions in rule book module S5
You must stop at the next signal and contact the signaller even if the signal is displaying proceed
