What do Loop diuretics block?
A
Block Na+/K+/2Cl- cotransporter🡪increase Na+ excretion; also increase H+ excretion and stimulate HCO3- (base) reabsorption

What are possible side effects? Examples?

-Ex. Furosemide, bumetanide, Torsemide, ethacrynic acid
- Possible ide effects: “OHH DAANG”
- –ototxicity
- –Hypokalemia
- –Hypomagnesemia
- –Dehydration
- –Sulfa allergy (except with ethacrynic acid)
- –Metabolic akalosis
- –Nephritis
- –Gout
