Arises in femur, has little belly that goes throug popliteal fossa and then long tendon that follows soleus m. around to calcaneal tendon

Square shaped muscle that that sits on top of soleus m. underneath popliteal vessels. Actually runs upwards and locks knee to your stand bone-on-bone. Actually rotates femur on tibia slightly, locking into place
