Preolivary sulcus: Hypoglossal (XII)
Postolivary sulcus: Vagus (X) and Glossopharyngeal (IX)
Olfactory N. (I)
Olfactory bulb at base of brain, sends fibers through cribiform plate
Optic N. (II) (+ additional point)
Comes off base of brain just anterior to pituitary and runs through optic canal with ophthalmic a. off interal carotid a.
Optic Canal Clinical Consideration
Hypertension can cause opthalmic a. to compress optic n. (II) and cause visual problems
5 Structures Through Superior Orbital Fissure
Ophthalmic Branch of Trigeminal N. (V1) Trochlear n. (IV) Oculomotor n. (III) Abducens n. (VI) Ophthalmic v.s
Structure Through Foramen Rotundum (+ fiber type)
