Q

how the uprising came about and how it was stopped event

A
  • freidkorps were disbanded due to TOV
  • because of this, they were unemployed and so decided to march into berlin armed
  • they gained control of berlin and Ebert fled to weimar
  • from Weimar, they encourage citizens in berlin to go on strike ( people didn’t want freidkorps because they were planning on bringing the kaiser back and they didn’t want that)
  • people go on strike and so there is no water, electricity or transport
  • Wolfgang kapp realises he can’t continue and tries to flee
  • he is captured and put in prison and weimar government comes back
