A

Truman was worried that stalin wanted to accomplish world domination and so he wanted to document his concern. He spent weeks on his report and interviewed top officials of the USA. All offcicals agreed that something should be done and respond.

A

USA- 300,000 americans died. America was left greater + stronger then before. Unemployment rates decreased and production of ammunition provided money and employment for everyone.
their economy was on the rise

USSR- 27 million citizens died. whole of russia was destroyed. poverty was everywhere and people had no homes. 70000 villages destroyed

A

after soviet troops arrived in germany, soviet soldiers would loot and vandalise homes and hunt down women and rape them. They seized industrial resources like machines + thousands of scientists and craftsmen which were taken to USSR.

For the soviet elections, stalin made a big speech. He promised no rewards to his people and only 5 year plans for heavy industry. he also warned that capitalism and imperialsim made future wars inevitable and communism would rule the world ( basically saying he was prepared to fight the west)
