- treatment of both tuberculosis and the meningococcal carriers
- induces CYP450, and will decrease levels of other drugs
- risk of liver failure

- inhibits the synthesis of mycolic acids, which prevents cell wall synthesis
- risk of fetal hepatitis

Pyrazinamide
A
- inhibits growth of bacteria
- Do NOT use in pts with hepatic damage or gout

Ethambutol
A
- oral chemotherapeutic agent which is specifically effective against actively growing microorganisms of the genus Mycobacterium
- Do NOT use in pts who report changes in vision, or pts under 13 y/o
- risk of optic neuritis

- antibiotic for TB and some other bacteria
- risk of ototoxicity
