What is PAR-Q
Information that is needed when joining an activity e.g gym
Why do we peform a warm-up?
- Prepares the muscles
- prepares the joints
- prepare the mind

What are the phases of a warm up?

What are the two types of stretching?
- static

What is static stretching?
Easy on the spot stretching without straining
What is dynamic stretching?
Stretches that use movements specific to a sport, gradually increasing your reach and speed
What is the cardiovascular phase (warm-up)?
Warm up to gradually raise the heart rate towards the working heart rate takes between 10-15mins
What is the stretching phase (warm-up)?

What does specific mean?
Knowing what the goal is includes a series of steps towards the overall goal
What does measurable mean?
Will it be easy to know when the goals are achieved e.g if someone had an extra 100m in the cooper run
What does achievable mean?
Goals that must be attainable. Unachievable goals result to demotivation
What does realistic mean?
A goal that well be achievable in practice
