Definition of Agility?
Ability to change position and control body at speed
Who needs agility?
Ruby players needed to run to the try line and dodge or tackle defenders
Definition of balance
Being able to keep the body stable while at rest or on the move
What are the two types of balance?
-Static balance:
Able to keep body stable e.g a handstand
-Dynamic balance:
Maintaining a controlled, stabled position while moving e.g hammer throwing
Definition of power
Ability to undertake strength performances quickly. It can be written as a formula:
Power = strength x speed
Definition of reaction time
Time between a stimulus and a movement in response to it sport e.g shuttlecock
Definition of speed
A rate which an individual can perform a movement or cover a distance
Definition of Co-ordination
Ability to use two or more body parts together
What are the different types of Co-ordination?
