Q

radiological features of glioma

A
  1. Solitory Irregular mass, surrounded by edema, with mass effect.
  2. Usually low density, but may be high or mixed density with calcification
  3. Pre/post-contrast should be performed for accurate detection.

Q

characters of meningioma

A

Arise from meninges of vault, falx, or tentorium.
Dense than brain on unenhanced CT bc of calcif..
Marked contrast enhancement.
Sclerosis, bone thickening.
thickening and enhancement of the local dura.

hint: mass + enhacement + bone thickning = meningioma

Q

radiological features of acoustic neuroma

A
  1. Arise in the internal auditory canal adjacent to the internal auditory meatus
  2. In the cerebellopontinr angle
  3. visible on CT if large (MRI preferred)
  4. Contrast improves visibility
