Right to make decisions and give orders to subordinates
What is staff authority
Right to assist those who have line authority
What is functional authority
Right to give orders within a segment of the management system in which the right is normally non-existent
Who is line manager
A manager who is authorized to direct the work of subordinates and responsible for accomplishing the organization’s goals.
What is staff manager
A manager who assist line managers
