What is a curtesy?
A form of polite behavior and excellence of manners
What is a custom?
A way of acting.
A way that has continued consistently over such a long time that it has become like law
An act or condition acquires the status of a custom under what four circumstances?
1) when it is continued consistently over a long period.
2) when it is well defined and uniformly followed.
3) When it is generally accepted so as to seem almost compulsory.
4) when it is not opposition to the terms and provisions of a statute, lawful regulation, or order.
When does navy customs allow left handed saluting?
When unable to use right arm due to injury
