Action:
A
- Inhibits the strength of the heart’s contractions and heart rate, resulting in a decrease in cardiac O2 consumption
- Saturates the beta receptors and inhibits dilation of bronchial smooth muscle (beta 2 receptor)

- SVT
- A-Flutter
- AF

Adverse Effects:
A
- Bradycardia
- Bronchospasm
- Hypotension

Contraindications:
A
- Cardiogenic shock
- AV block
- Bradycardia
- Known sensitivity
- Use w/ caution in hypotension, chronic lung disease

- Oral dosing only, not administered acutely for ACS
