Did Elena meet Fernando to get Paula’s mobile, and did they go for a drink…?
Before we find out, let’s learn some words and phrases to describe someone’s personality.
Usually, the words we use to talk about personality end with an “o” if we’re describing a man and an “a” if we’re describing a woman.
But there are some other words ending in “e” that stay the same whether we’re describing a man or a woman.
Fernando es simpático. (Fernando is nice.) - Lola es simpática. (Lola is nice.)
Fernando es amable. (Fernando is kind.) - Lola es amable. (Lola is kind.)
Let’s have a quick look at the words we’ve learned today.
simpático / simpática (nice) abierto / abierta (open) serio / seria (serious) tímido / tímida (shy) amable (kind) generoso / generosa (generous) It is time now to find out what happened between Elena and Fernando!
Let’s watch the video first, and then we’ll do a little quiz for some revision.
Now you can describe what your friends are like!
In the next lessons we will continue to describe people and how they feel, and practise when to use “ser” and “estar”.
