I don’t know what is up with girls these days.
*be up with : 문제가 있다, 무슨 일이 있다

I used to drink soda a lot (but not anymore.)
Kids like Ronnie McCoy are scratching their heads wondering what the heck happened.
*scratching their heads=confused, puzzled
*be scratching their heads wondering : 혼란스러워하며/의아해하며 고민하다
The thing that really stinks is that I have always been into girls, but kids like Bryce have only come around in the last couple of years.
*stink : 냄새가 나다, 악취, 소동(강한 부정적인 감정)
*be into something : ~에 관심이 많다[좋아하다]
But of course, now I don’t get any credit for sticking with the girls all this time.
*stick with : ~와 함께 있다.
*be stuck with : 싫은 일을 강요당하다
*get credit for something : 공로를 인정받다
The good news is that I’m about to move up one spot because Charlie Davies is above me, and he’s getting his braces next week.

I think it just goes in one ear and out the other with him.
The first thing I did when I got outside was sneak off to the basketball court to see if the Cheese was still there. And sure enough, it was.

After a couple of days, the Cheese started getting all moldy and nasty.

this kid named Darren Walsh touched the Cheese with his finger, and that’s what started this thing called the Cheese Touch.
It’s basically like the Cooties.

The only way to protect yourself from the Cheese Touch is to cross your fingers.
*cross one’s fingers : (중지를 인지에 포개고) 기도하다, 행운을 빌다
I ended up taping mine together so they’d stay crossed all the time. I got a D in handwriting, but it was totally worth it.

I don’t need that kind of stress in my life anymore.
I’m having a seriously hard time getting used to the fact that summer is over.
*get used to : ~에 익숙해지다
you’ll get used to me : 나한테 적응할꺼야.
my summer did not exactly get off to a great start.
*get off to : ~으로 시작하다(=begin with)
*get off : 떠나다[출발하다], ~를 떠나게[출발하게] 해 주다
We got off straight after breakfast.
