You enter a bar/ restaurant. What do you say upon entering:
¡Hola, buenas! / Hola, buenas tardes/ buenos días… (If in doubt, use: Hola, buenas.)
The barman asks you: ¿Qué le pongo? You want a milky coffee, what do you say?
¿Me pone un café con leche, por favor?
¿Cómo quiere la leche: caliente, fría o del tiempo? How do you take your milk?
La leche … (fría, caliente, del tiempo), por favor.
You want to find out if they have any milk alternatives. What would you say?
Perdone, ¿tiene leche de soja/ de almendras…?
They’ve given you one sachet of sugar, but you want two.
Perdone, ¿me da/ me pone otro sobre de azúcar? / ¿Me da más azúcar, por favor?
They’ve given you sugar, but you take sweetener.
Perdone, ¿tiene sacarina/ edulcorante?
You’ve finished your coffee and you want to pay.

Now you’re entering a restaurant and you want a table for you and your partner.
