the fascia and peritoneum become closely apposed (together)

fascial layers
obliterated stem of processus vaginalis

testicular vessels & nerves
where is the spermatic cord?
within the inguinal canal in males
what is the vestigial remnant of the gubernaculum in males?
scrotal ligament
where do the ovaries shift to from the posterior abdominal wall? (retroperitoneal)
less dramatic caudal shift
what attaches the ovary to labioscrotal folds?
gubernaculum
what does the gubernaculum become in females?
ovarian ligament and round ligament of uterus
