Action
Inhibits calcium influx across cell membranes, causing coronary vasodilation and smooth muscle relaxation that decreases peripheral vascular resistance, blood pressure and myocardial oxygen demand, slows SA/AV node conduction

Indicartions
Symptomatic a-fib and a-flutter, SVT or PSVT refractory to adenosine, hypertension, angina

Hypersensitivity, hypotension, severe CHF, 2nd or 3rd degree heart block, Sick sinus syndrome, AMI

0.1. mg/kg, 10 mg max signle dose

0.1 mg/kg, 2 mg max single dose <1yo, 5 mg max >1yo

Drowsiness, headache, nausea, edema, bradycardia, tachycardia, hypotension, CHF, Heart Blocks
